L239-Elros: Great vintage ladies summer cape knitting pattern from 1940s. This lovely wartime design would look fabulous over a classic 1940s suit (see suit pages for knitted suits from the 1940s) or slim skirt or pleated top trousers. To fit 34 and 36 inch bust. Knitted in a thick wool that would be similar to modern double knitting. Always work a tension square and change needles to for size. (see other capes and shawls from 1940s and 1950s)

Lady Ruth Wools: Great vintage ladies twin set knitting pattern from 1940s. So pretty! This design has a cardigan with peplum and deep rib sweater to match. Set in sleeves and beautiful fit worked in what was called open line pattern. Knitted in vintage 3ply that was similar to modern 4ply. Always work a tension square. To fit 34-36 inch bust. Ladyship 535: Great vintage ladies jacket knitting pattern from 1930s. This lovely design is well shaped with cut-away bottom edge. Easy to knit in modern 4ply. Always work a tension square. To fit 32 inch bust, knit in double knitting wool on size large needles for 34 -35 inch bust, but allow more wool if you do this.

This pattern also has a long sleeved bolero to compliment the jumper, the bolero is knitted in stocking stitch.

There are instructions for long and short sleeves and is worked in vintage 4ply. Try modern 4ply as needles suggested are commonly used with this ply, work a tension square and see if you need to change needles. Buttons at the shoulder with 3 small buttons. To fit 34 inch bust.
