Angora 32H: Fabulous vintage ladies hat and glove knitting pattern 1940s. This is a  wartime pattern, simple and quick to knit in angora or any other 4ply type of yarn. The pixie hood fits an average head as do the mittens fit an average hand, work a tension square in the yarn chosen and see what size it will knit to, and change needles to get a tension that will knit to the size that you require.

Bairnswear 429: Great vintage ladies glove knitting pattern from 1930s. There are instructions for 4 different pairs of gloves in this pattern. The fair isle are on 2, the plain at the top are on 4 and cable  are on 4 plain ones at the bottom are on 2. Knitted in modern 4ply or double knitting.

Bestway 844LG: Great vintage knitting pattern from late 1930s for embroidered gloves for women. This pattern has instructions for two pairs of gloves, easy to knit in the gauntlet style so popular in the 1930s and 1940s. Both are embroidered as shown, but any embroidery, beads or braid can be used. Knitted on two needles. Worked in moss stitch for one pair and moss stitch and stocking stitch the other pair.  Worked in 3ply or if you prefer 4ply on small needles to give a tight fabric to keep out the cold.

Bestway 843: Great vintage glove knitting pattern for two colour designs from 1940s. They are knitted on 2 needles and in vintage 3ply, so try modern 4ply in a tension square. There is one pair trimmed with braid, one with simple cord at wrist and the other with smocked effect at wrist. Neat, retro and very smart!

Bestway 850:  Great vintage ladies glove knitting pattern from 1940s. This pattern has two pairs of gloves, one with smocked back, the other with fair isle backs. Although knitted  two needles they need to be the ones with points at both ends and are quite fine to provide warmth. Knitted in 3ply pure wool. Lovely retro pattern. Always work a tension square, even for small items like this.

Bestway 1754: Great vintage ladies glove knitting pattern from 1940s. This little Bestway pattern is for a pair of gloves knitted on two needles with small chart for the cross design. Knitted in vintage 3ply, modern 4ply might work but try modern 3ply as well - remember that for gloves and hats the fabric needs to be quite firm to keep the weather at bay.

Greenock B522: Great vintage knitting pattern from the 1940 for angora mittens and collarette. There are instructions for gloves as well. Nice and easy to knit and quick too. Elegant and warm. Always work a tension square and make sure that the angora use will knit to a 4ply.
