This one is from the early 1930s and is hand embroidered after knitting. Neat sit just below waist style with puff shoulders. To fit 32-33 inch bust in vintage 4ply which look as though a modern 4ply will work well. Always work a tension square. White with Hockey Green edging and Pimpernel, Turf Green, Iris, Hunting Yellow to embroider. The pattern also suggests pastel colours, and trying Navy or black with bright colours.

Two size needles are used in alternate rows, very interesting design for those who would like to try something different.

Cotton Jumper 95: Great vintage 1920s ladies jumper knitting pattern. Super pattern with two designs to be knitted in cotton no5 and no30  and no20 on  size 12 needles (2.75mm). There are instructions for the collared blouse which should fit 40-44 inch bust and the button through jumper for about 32-33 inch bust, but both should be easy to adjust to most sizes as it gives clues how to do this in the text. There are line drawings of pieces so that it can be planned as a smaller or large size. Fascinating pattern with French origins, but written in English.

Craftwear 01: Great vintage jewellery knitting crochet pattern 1940s. There are instructions for KNITTING the Necklet as shown on cover plus a two row chocker, and in CROCHET instructions for bracelet, earnings, brooch, belt and serviette ring. The pattern give quantities in yards, but you can work out how much to use of which ever thread you choose as soon as you have worked one of two things, no tension given, but it looks as if the craft cord would have been about cotton 20 as size 13 (2.25mm) needles are used in the knitting and size 0 crochet hook (not sure of the modern hook size).
