WG 191: Great vintage ladies beaded cardigan and cap knitting pattern from late 1940s. This pattern has instructions for the asymmetric cardigan and a little cap. To fit bust 34 and is knitted in a vintage 3ply that should knit well in a modern 3ply on fine needles. To fit 34 inch bust. he pocket flap and collar have beads knitted into the design. The little hat also has beads knitted in - you can always sew them on afterward if you prefer.

Wolsey 531: Great vintage knitting pattern for ladies jumper from 1940s. This simple to knit jumper was ideal for the service knitted the correct colour. To fit 34 inch bust and knitted in a yarn that was similar to modern 4ply. There are instructions for jumper shown in plain stocking stitch and tank top or sleeveless pullover.

Wolsey536: Great vintage ladies summer jumper knitting pattern from the 1940s. This super little jumper is light and easy to wear, with rib detail at shoulders for perfect fit. Sits on waist so would look great with slim skirt, slacks or leggings. Worked in 4ply, so knit a tension square and see if you need to change needles. To fit 34 inch bust, instructions for long sleeves included. Buttons at the back of neck with 4 small buttons or press studs.

Wolsey 656: Great vintage ladies slim fitting bow tie jumper knitting pattern from the 1940s. This pretty jumper with lace fancy rib is knitted in modern 4ply so try a tension square and change needles if needed. To fit 34-35 inch bust and is beautifully shaped, the instructions include the shoulder pads. There are some interesting pictures on the back page of other pattern available at that time.

Very pretty design with mock cable at pocket, yoke and down front of cardigan to compliment the jumper which has short sleeves. This design is in vintage 3ply and looks as though a modern 3ply would work well. Always work a tension square. To fit 34 inch bust. You could use modern 4ply, change needles to get the correct tension.

Woman's Weekly 23: Great vintage ladies jumper knitting pattern from late 1930s. This one has instructions for  a long sleeved jumper with collar and three little buttons. Leaf design that was so popular in the 1930s and 40s. To fit 30-32 inch bust. Always work a tension square and try modern 4ply and for a larger size try modern double knitting on larger needles but if you do this allow more wool.

Woolvelo - 1: Great vintage ladies long line jumper knitting pattern from 1920s.  Knitted in 4ply to fit 36-38 inch bust, loose fitting and is 24 inches from shoulder to border. Looking at the needle size (imperial 8 or 44metric) this could actually be a double knitting ply. Although not tension is give (very common at the time) this should tell you how many stitches to an inch you yarn will provide.

Woolvelo -2: great vintage crochet pattern from 1920s. This cross over style was very popular and easy sizing. To fit 36 inch bust, shoulder to border 21 inches. This one is worked in a 2ply Shetland Floss which knitted to a 4ply wool
