vintage ladies jumper knitting pattern from 1930s

RM2-99L:  Great vintage ladies jumper knitting pattern from 1930s. I love this pattern, it is slimming and interesting in style. The pattern suggest making the inset V a different shade, grey for main part and green for the inset, but you can knit all one colour. The back and front are worked alike with the sleeves knitting in with the body of the jumper, the sleeves have the same inserts as the V. As these parts are worked separately is is easy to do the in the same shade or a contrast. The jumper is fastened by to large decorative buttons (very popular in the 1930s and 1940s) on front and back and kinked by a looped wool chain. Knitted in 4ply to fit 34-36 inch bust. Always work a tension square. The original was worked in a silky yarn called Visylka.
