Christopher 450: Boy's Suit and Coat: Great vintage knitting pattern for boys suit and coat from 1930s. The suit is to fit 22 inch chest and is knitted in vintage 3ply that would translate to modern 4ply. The same for the little coat which also fits a 22 inch chest. To fit 18-24 months.

This set consists of a dress, jacket and bootees, should be easy enough to make a bonnet to the match pattern from the dress. To fit 20 inch chest or 3-9 months. The dress can be shortened or lengthened. If made longer allow for more wool.

Coraleen 3108: Matinee Set: Great vintage baby matinee set knitting pattern from 1930s. This little set has a jacket, bootees and bonnet.  The yoke of the jacket, the bonnet and tops of the bootees are worked in a stripe. The original colours were white and spring green. To fit up to a 22 inch chest. Knitted in vintage 3ply that would knit to a modern baby wool 3ply. Try using size smaller needles for slightly smaller size or if you choose to work with modern baby 4ply. Matinee coat is worked in one piece up to arm holes.

vintage baby cap knitting pattern with loopy stitch bands from 1937

HC133 Cape and Sleeping bag: Great vintage knitting pattern for baby cape from 1937. This super warm cape is worked in bands of  garter stitch and loop stitch. Knitted in a thick wool on large needles. Cape is 17 inches long. works to a tension of 3st to an inch on no 6 imperial needles (5mm). A sleeping back pattern is including with this. Knitted in slightly less thick wool, probably similar to modern double knitting. Measuring 28 inches with a 20 inch zip, bag is worked in brick stitch. The top edges are bound in satin ribbon.

Baby double knitting should work, try a tension square and change needles if needed, or try baby 4ply and again change needles to see which will work as this Quickerknit yarn falls in between these two. To fit 20 and 22 inch chest, instructions given in both sizes.

vintage girls outdoor set knitting pattern from 1930s with cute hat Bairnswear 96c: Great vintage child's out door set from 1930s. There are three different coat styles with breechettes, beret and hat. The little girl on the front cover is wearing the pretty hat, a double breasted coat with an angora collar to fit 22 inch chest. The single breasted button up coat, beret and breechettes is also to fit 22 inch chest. The one illustrated at the top with stand up collar and shoulder cape is also double breasted and has breechettes and beret to complete the set, to fit 23 inch chest. All knitted in a wool similar to modern 4ply, always work a tension square.
