PSC31-Rachel Christening Gown: Great vintage baby knitting pattern from a stunning christening gown. This gown measures 30 inches long to fit 18 inch chest over undies and a petticoat. Knitted in a fine ply similar to modern 2ply on size 13 (2.25mm) needles. The all over lace b pattern has a panel of more intricate design up the front - as the back doesn't have this panel it would be easy enough to work the dress in the lace pattern only just using the instructions for the back up to dividing for the bodice. The beautiful Lucelle wool is not longer made but was a super fine 2ply made from angora, wool and nylon. so you can choose a fine cotton, a fine angora or a fine alpaca.
