Daily Herald 02: Great vintage knitting pattern for baby dolls and toddler dolls outfits. The baby doll is 13 inches and the little set is vest, pilch, dress, bootees and bonnet knitted in vintage 3ply, so try modern 4ply for these. The dress set for the toddler doll is knitted in modern 3ply, always work a tension square even for these little things. The toddler set has instructions for a 14 inch doll include a fair isle dress and beret and shoes with a pompom.

Gilly Baby Doll Set: Great vintage baby doll dress set knitting pattern for 14 inch doll. This set is so easy to do and such a treat for a little girl. There are instructions for dress, jacket, bonnet,bootee and bonnet, to include undies as well. Worked in vintage baby 3ply, original colour suggested primrose. I knitted the one for my Pedigree doll in a lovely pale green vintage wool from 1950s.

Golden Eagle 432: Great vintage baby dress set knitting pattern from 1940s. Great little set in 4ply, no size given but the dress is 10 inches long, so probably 16 inch - 17 inch doll. These patterns are easy to adjust to fit most dolls, knit in modern 3ply for smaller or double knitting for larger. There are instructions for dress, coat, bonnet, mittens, shoes, vest and pants. Very easy to knit.

Greenock 62: Such a pretty old vintage dolls knitting pattern from 1930s. The pattern is for vest, knickers, shoes, frock, coat and bonnet (bonnet is in angora) no size of doll given but dress measures nearly 9" so I would think between 16" doll. Worked in vintage 3ply. Always work a tension square.

HC 3020 Dolly: Great vintage dolly knitting pattern from early 1950s. This little set has coat, bonnet, muff and boots, all knitted in vintage 3ply to fit a 14 inch doll. I knitted this one on no 11 needles (3mm) to fit my 14 inch Rosebud in modern 4ply and it fitted nicely over a dress and underwear. pdf £1.50. |

I made this outfit for a doll that was rescued from a bombed out house from the Blitz, when the site was being regenerated in the 1950s.

Homecraft 352: Great vintage pixie doll and ball toy knitting pattern from 1940s. This little sweetie is about 14 inches tall and knitted in vintage 3ply or modern 4ply yarn - face can be embroidered on the wool or the face mask added. This little guy can have box with dried peas inside to make rattle if securely made and well sealed in. The ball is a rattle too and can be made to cover existing ball rattle or constructed and shown, make sure that the ball parts are securely fastened. For more like this little fellow see toy pages.

Homecraft 353: Knitted Doll - Lovely vintage knitting pattern for a two knitted dolls Pearl and her little sister Jane. Pearl is 17.5 inches and Jane is 12 inches, knitted from oddments of wool. knitted in 4ply doubled, or wool made to the same thickness - i.e. using more than one strand to make this sort of thickness - similar to modern double knitting. tension will be 5st to inch on no.8 needles or 4mm. easy pattern, good clear instructions.

Ladyship 524: Lovely vintage doll knitting pattern for baby doll, no size given but dress length is 11" and the coat is 7" the chest measurement is 15" - bonnet measures 8.5 round face and 4.5 front to centre back. Will fit new born baby! pattern from the early 1940's.

Lavenda 1072: Beautiful vintage dolls pattern from my collection from the 1940s . As with most post war-time patterns this was produced on poor quality paper and in black and white. With clear instructions it is knitted in 3ply and fits 10 inch doll - I made this for my little Rosebud baby doll and it fitted beautifully. There is a dress, matinee jacket, bonnet, bootees, petticoat, vest and knickers. Knitted in vintage 3ply, try tension square with chosen wool.

Lee's 229: Fabulous little vintage dolls knitting pattern from the war years, even tells you how many coupons you need, knitted in vintage 3ply and vintage 4ply wool. No size is given, but the dress length is 9.5" and the coat is 10" in length, with a chest measurement of 15" so I would guess that the doll would be approx 20" There is a dress, coat, bonnet with brim, undies, and gloves.1940's
