Bestway 1356uw: Vest and Pants: Great vintage ladies knitting pattern for underwear from 1940s. This pattern has instructions for pretty lacy vest and long leg knickers. It is easy to make the pant legs shortened. Rib at waist of both vest and knickers makes for a close fit. Comfy and warm. Stretching to 36 inch bust and 40 hip. Knitted in a fine 4ply. Always work a tension square.

DH Vest Set-6: Great vintage ladies knitting pattern for underwear from 1940's. This set had a nice close fitting vest and panties, knitted in a fine 4ply. Always work a tension square. To fit 32-26 inch bust. The 2ply recommended would have been similar to a modern 3ply or fine 4ply.

HC133-Lingerie Set: Great vintage knitting pattern from 1937 for a beautiful set of lingerie. This lovely set consists of a gossamer fine cami-knickers, stunningly easy to knit nightdress, bed jacket with bed socks and slippers. Fabulous set. Knitted in modern 3ply, but work a tension square and change needles if needed. To fit 34-36 inch bust. The night dress is worked on a large needle to give the delicate appearance. Work separate tension square for each garment as they all use different size needles although 3ply would be the nearest for a modern substitute.

Knitting Bulletin: Cami-knickers and Bra: Great vintage ladies knitting pattern for cami-knickers and a bra from 1940s. This pattern is to fit 34-36 inch bust and is knitted in a 4ply silk or 3ply wool. Always work a tension square. It is  a hand typed copy from the middle of World War 11. Cami-knickers were all in one vest and pants.

This wartime set is pretty and practical with wide leg panties and neat little vest with shaped rib to keep body line smooth. Knitted in silk and wool for extra warmth, to give a 3ply tension. If you only can get 4ply then use smaller needles and allow an extra ball of wool. To fit but 34 inches.

Neat and close fitting to give a smooth body line under clothes, this set is knitted in a vintage 2ply that knits to a 4ply modern yarn. Always work a tension square and adjust needle size if needed. To fit 33-34 inch bust. Lovely shape with fine rib to keep snug, ribbon straps.
