Bairnswear 182: Vintage knitting pattern ladies socks 1940s, 9 designs in all. Tennis with blackberry stitch, or fair isle tops. For rambling in plain rib or different fair isle top, for golf with decorative tops and surface design and a pair for badminton with two different top designs, all these knitted in vintage 3ply, which will be similar to modern 4ply, the last pair is for skating and is made in vintage 4ply trimmed with angora, try tension square to see if modern double knitting would work.
