Patons 68M:Fabulous very vintage knitting pattern for man's fair isle golfing jumper 1920's. (Golf was extremely popular during the 1920 and 1930s) This pattern has instructions to fit 40 inch chest. Knitted in Shetland floss on size 8 needles (4mm) so could be 4ply or a not too thick double knitting, try either or both in a tension square and change needles to get correct tension with which ever you choose. Colour suggested to get a really authentic look are fawn as ground, dark brown, red, green, and peacock blue. This jumper has pockets and the V neck band is knitted separately then sew in when jumper is completed. Super old design.
