Greenock BX48: Great vintage circular cushion knitting pattern . No size given for this one, but very typical of the era, nice colours and easy to knit, knitted in garter stitch (all rows plain). Instructions for a rug too. pdf £1.50 |

Greenock 132: This super vintage CROCHET pattern is for two round cushion covers from the 1920's in 5ply so thicker than 4ply but perhaps not as thick as double knitting, work tension square to see if you need to change hook if you use double knitting or 4ply 22"

Ladyship 402: Fabulous Art Deco cushion cover pattern from 1930, knitted in chubby wool - as they are knitted on size 3 (6.5mm) needles a would think that this is more like our modern chunky - tension is 4 stitches to the inch. The square cushion is 18" square. The triangular one is 31" across diagonal and depth at centre 21.5 inches. There are instructions for making the pad to fit this cushion once it has been made.

Lavenda 519: Great vintage cushion cover knitting pattern from 1940s. This super pattern has instructions for 3 knitted cushion covers one 19 inches square, one 20 inches square and the other is 21 inches square all knitted in 4ply or double knitting. There are also instructions for the two tea cosies and an egg cosy.

Patons 3151: Great vintage knitting pattern for hot water bottle cover as well as other items 1930s. All knitted in an early type of double knitting, always work a tension square and change needles if needed. The blanket would have been sent a way to be brushed, sadly this service is no longer available but there are brushed yarns on the market that will give the same effect. There are instructions for a super cushion as well in double knitting yarn, 18 inches square.

Patons 3859: Great vintage cushion knitting pattern from 1930s. This lovely pattern has three designs two knitted and the circular one is crocheted. The two square ones are 20 x 20 and 18 x 18 and the circular one is 20 inches in diameter. All worked in double knitting. There are interesting pictures on the back page of other designs that were available at the time.

Secil 153: Great vintage cushion knitting and crochet pattern for 3 cushions from 1930s. The oblong rainbow cushion cover is knitted the the round ones are crocheted. the oblong measures 27 x 18 inches and the round ones are 24 inches in diameter. Very colourful, typical of the era. Knitted and crocheted in vintage 4ply or double knitting wool. pdf £1.50 |
